On a recent sold-out LAX to SAN Eagle flight, the gate agent had to remove 2 passangers due to weight restriction. The odd thing is that they selected the last 2 people to board Vs maybe luggage/cargo. The weather was pretty good with no wind/rain issues that I could see (not a weather expert by any means). So why do Airlines not buy planes or retire the ones that can't fly with all seats taken and full luggage?
