I've used most of my miles over the past few years when able and now stand with an empty account. Most of the destinations I've been traveling to, award wise, are not well covered by US Airways. My main complaint is the loss of services over the past few years. When I did a large amount of West coast travel, I was able to hop on a UA flight and get upgraded to E+ without having to pay fees. Ditto on the use of the UA clubs until that was removed as a perk. Most of my flights have been on the shuttles and going to places served mainly by RJ's.
