I hear you, and that's much of the reason why I had been considering moving to UA: for the E+.
But then I thought about it more.
Every time I fly on US, I book an exit row seat anyway. So even if I don't get upgraded to F for free, I already have plenty of leg room. In my three years as a GP, I have always been able to book an exit row seat. Always. So the E+ advantage on UA shouldn't really matter for US Preferreds. (Unless you fly routes where the exit row seats are quickly taken?)
I'm going to stay with US this year. And who knows? Maybe there have been enough Preferred who've jumped ship to make up for the reduced F seats.
