The AA Conditions of Carriage prohibit back-to-back tickets but defines them as "The combination of two or more roundtrip excursion fares end to end for the purpose of circumventing minimum stay requirements." In this case I'd be using back-to-back ticketing not to avoid minimum stay requirements, but to qualify for the Visit Asia package. (The AA Conditions of Carriage is here

I fly DEL-TUL-DEL multiple times a year. The Visit Asia requires a One World flight to Asia. So, all I need to do is nest a TUL-DEL-TUL ticket in a DEL-TUL-DEL ticket and voila, I'm qualified, and can fly DEL-KIX-BKK-DEL for a reasonable price and get EQM (I hope).
So experts, in this case is a back-to-back acceptable?
I should also add that this is about $200 less than the DEL-TUL-DEL tickets I would otherwise get, but I would be straddled with possible higher cancellation/change fees, and loss of a nearly free stop-over in USA. Does this affect acceptability?
Finally, to be sure, would it be advisable to discuss this with AA when booking the tickets?
