British Colonial Nassau

Stayed at BC for 7 days last week. As a Gold, on a GLONP (6 days), was given an water-facing room that was extremely clean. Had a king bed, 3 windows, desk, safe in closet, and a large bathroom with separate tub and shower. Mattress was old style, i.e. not like the new plush ones at other Hilton brand properties. Watched many cruise ships come and go all week.

The hotel was great...very clean, accommodating staff, and convenient to everything. If we went out at night, we were always greeted by the doorman upon return with a "welcome home". Fitness center was excellent and loaded with all types of equipment. Pool and beach very clean. Lounges, towels and umbrellas included at no extra charge.

Was given coupon for continental breakfast for 2 for each day of stay (value of $10.95 and included gratuity). For $6 and a 15% gratuity, you could upgrade to the full hot breakfast - usual stuff.

Hotel added $4.00 per person per day energy surcharge, even on free stay. On paid stays, they also add $4.00 per person per day for the housekeeping staff. Tried to get on executive floor (#6) but was told it was reserved for Diamonds only.

At every restaurant we went to, a 15% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. Each tab also had a line for an additional gratuity.
