During a brief stint as a plat... at this hotel they gave me the arrival gift choice, breakfast (gold and plat's), but did not do much for a room upgrade (hard to figure out whether garden level is upgrade or downgrade -- when upper levels have no view anyway). I have heard of some people getting Ocean View rooms, but with 3 stays there have been able to get peekaboo ocean views twice.
There are no "adult" pools, however the new pool on the south side seems less interesting for kids (much smaller and different environment with a swim up bar/restaurant). Most of the lounge chairs around all pools are pretty close to each other, but there are a few areas a bit more private.
Service is good in the restaurants and food generally pretty good, but for my tastes... Nothing really standout.. just pretty good food and quality (including the sushi lounge).
