I also bought a little "U" shaped neck pillow that blows up in a few breaths and has a very soft cover from Brookstone. That has made a difference in trying to sleep too, especially if the seat type has no neck support. Since your 5'2", the seat won't have neck support for you.
When I first starting doing this I felt "goofy", but who was smiling when the other folks on the plane were doing shoulder and neck exercises 5+ hours later coming off the plane.
Comfort....comfort....comfort.
Those neck pillows from Brookstone are one of the greatest inventions of modern times! I love that thing and it takes up no room.
