On a flight back from FRA to BRS last night the captain came over the intercom with the above, followed by the fact the computer was showing an error with the landing gear.
So apparently we slowed down, and (I believe) still at 37,000 feet, lowered the under carriage and the raised it again !! Giving lots of noise, and quite a drop in altitude at the same time.
Apparently this cleared off the error, enabling us to land properly on a (bumpy) runway at BRS.
Anyone ever heard of this before?
