SQ uses Air India for ground handling, so they are on the better AI 2C in BOM. In the good old days when 2B was still open you could walk from A to C. The connection still exists airside, but not on the duty free side (in BOM security happens at the gate). There is a AI agent standing near the 'transfer gate' with a security/police person. If you want to transit, you approach that guy and don't follow the masses down to the immigration desks. I've done a LX-AI transfer (AI flies BOM-CCU from 2C) that way. The best way is to call your airline at the airport:
