I've done DEN twice this year via LAX on AA. Last year PHX on US, TUS on UA and SLC on DL. I debated the DEN decision via LAX but decided it was worth a little extra time and not too far out of the way. The connections SFO-LAX-DEN aren't actually too bad. Still, all in all, probably a mistake for only 1349 EQM each way compared to nonstop on UA.

For me, no way is it worth the time to go all the way to DFW and then back to TUS, PHX, or SLC. I suppose if it were December and I need a few extra miles for status, okay maybe, but in January--I'll take a nonstop anyday
