I myself have the Nokia E60. Its a brick though compared to the TMO Dash, but then it has Wifi (VoIP), GSM and 3G.

As a date point, I landed at Narita airport two weeks ago and was roaming on Japanese carriers no problem.

I don't know yet about Korea, but don't anticipate a problem.
