I thought there was only a rule while plane was flying

Yikes...you mean if I go pee while in flight the pilot will stop the plane?

Earlier this year I took off on a Huntsville to Memphis flight after a few cups of coffee. Normally about a 30-45 minute trip. Beautiful in Huntsville but a thunderstorm that was supposed to be on the move just hung around the Memphis airport. Nearly two hours later we were still piddling (pardon the pun) around Arkansas, I think. Needless to say the natives, me included, were getting restless as the seat belt light was on constantly and there was some light turbulence. They finally relented and, with escort to the lav door, we were allowed a quick trip. For a while there I was enviously looking at my seatmate's empty water bottle and wondering how discrete I could be.
