I found my old Avis card - it says Preferred on it - but I just assumed everybody was Preferred. Is that no longer the case in '07? Preferred is like Hertz #1 Gold, you just sign up. According to the Avis elite levels thread, Preferred Select requires 15 rentals in 18 months.
