Sometimes SU's newness/cluelessness to the way the rest of the world does things works for us. I had a co-worker traveling with his family (6 total) from SVO to OVB on a Sky Miles Award Ticket last year. The ticket price (printed on the paper ticket) was $0.00. When the SU agent at SVO1 said "your bags are over 20kg each so you'll have to pay" my co-worker said "the rule is 1% of the ticket price. The price of this ticket is $0.00. 1% of nothing is nothing so I owe nothing." He smiled, asked for his boarding passes, and walked off. The lady couldn't say anything.

They are wising up now though to ways of gettin' ya for sure. Beats the fire out of the Moscow to Novosibirsk route back in 1993 though. Oh those were the days for corrupt ongoings...
