I don't think I was whining (at least that was not the intention). I am an IT person (I've spent years writing software), which is probably why half way through the form I closed the browser window and gave up. I'm sure that my professional background has some contribution to the fact that the form we're talking about is not something I can live with. I did offer to help though. Some minor things that take just minutes - such as tab navigation, date pickers,... - can make a huge difference sometimes. I did also mention that my comment was not meant to offend anyone. A form for people to use in order to voluntarily fill in data needs to be something as quick and painless as possible, otherwise I am convinced that most people just give up or simply lose the motivation to keep posting data. I would
LOVE to have a tool with reliable data and have some cool statistics.
That brings me to my second point - that tool (even severely improved) would compile insufficient data. Much like this thread, which has even less data but completely random and unorganized. Even with tons more data and better organized, there are still too many factors in this equation. Take promotions and ever fluctuating prices, for example. Someone mentioned not getting upgraded to PHX - well, that's because flights to PHX had ridiculously low prices for a while. I found a CMH-PHX fare for $130 in December. Alas, that fare has long been gone and I was too indecisive to capitalize on it!

Apparently many others have though. Don't worry - prices have gone back up. But you get my point.
I don't feel insulted by
SchmutzigMSP simply because I don't let little things like this get to me. I thought my were constructive, especially when combined with my offer to help. Besides, I see this forum as a discussion and disagreements are an important and useful part of it.
imaliveru - thanks for noticing that!

(I didn't think anybody would, which is why I didn't want to respond to it right away.)
