I brought 6 x 6-bottle cases back from my vinyard in Argentina, went through the red channel and the lady was quite happy I had declared that she charged duty based on 10-15 litres, which was about £19. If it's on a sliding scale basis, expect to pay around £50 for your lot. It's not that much, especially in the context of valuable wines.
It isn't as simple as that from what I'm aware. Bringing goods in on your person is a different story to 'importing' them through other means.
Not only will there be levies, tarrifs and taxes etc. on the goods themselves, but also VAT charges on the cost of freight. Depending on who's delivering them, FedEx normally charge an admin fee aswell
It generally works out cheaper to buy the stuff in Oddbins than messing about with shipping it over, that is of course assuming that Oddbins stock the particular wine in question.
