Maximum stay between outward and return flights

I have been a long-time lurker on the BA board and in response to krug's thread yesterday have finally decided to register.

First of all I have to say a big thank you to everyone. Finding this board has made an enormous difference to my travelling. Thanks to you I am Gold and two relatives are Silver (we all moved our addresses to Europe), I have my favourite seats on all flights, I make better use of my Tesco points than using them on shopping and I've registered for IRIS (though am yet to find it working). And that's not to mention my KLM luggage tags, £10 off duty free my cheap flight to FRA tomorrow and the answer to the question that had been nagging at me about the 1901 flight from JFK.

As if all that was not enough I wonder if someone can help me understand the maximum time I can have between outward and return flights.

I flew WT+ to JFK in June 2006 but didn't use the return to LHR. Since BA only offered a refund of £60 for that leg I instead postponed it (the ticket was flexible) with the intention of saving up the 75 TPs in case I need them later. How long can I keep postponing this flight?

Many thanks
