The last award stay I had in China I paid something, fee, tax, whatever and it was about $20 USD per night. I am not indicating anything, the post that the OP put up states hkd and that was my point, it is obviously NOT a rate at $30 per night. Some hotels (last time I was at the Conrad in HK it did not) do require a "service fee" for any award stay.
