New seats not yet

Well I can't really comment on the new seats, as I have yet to fly the new F or J seats of either airlines, but service wise, I actually like SQ just a bit more...

I have seen good and bad days with both airlines, and found SQ to be a bit more consistent. CX always has that "home" and "Cantonese" factors, but there are some aspects, like lack of "bed turning" service, that seem to make SQ shine a bit higher.

Food wise, I really have to rate SQ a bit higher in both F and J food, even CX's new food presentation in J. SQ also has a bit more variety in terms of food, and in regional F, Dom Perignon and Krug are still offered, but CX downgrades their regional F champagne/wines a bit too much. Book the Cook also gives SQ a better edge.

Nonetheless, CX's the "Wing" and and the "Pier" in Hong Kong surpass SQ's homebased Silver Kris Lounge by a long way. CX lounges are simply amazing and the sit down service is just excellent. SQ's SKL just varies in terms of food offerings.

Amenities wise: CX offers a nicer PJ (Shanghai Tang), but SQ is not too bad.

F/As: both are great. Despite folks think SQ F/As are robotic, I found most of them very kind even in not so excellent days. But I think CX male F/As are better looking though... hehe... just a personal thing... SQ male F/As are just a bit more reserved. But the gals are great to chat with though. But on those random bad flights, I found SQ seems to be able to maintain a better minimal service.

In Conclusion, comparing CX and SQ is like comparing apple with oranges, but I think I will just give SQ a 0.01 point lead. Anyway, everything is down to personal preference.
