As I posted in another thread, I'm a Platinum and I'm planning a trip to Asia this fall. I'll be staying at the Phuket JW Marriott. When I went to book the hotel, a standard room was shown for points, but then other rooms were shown (I believe one was called a "sea view") for either more points, or a combination of points and money ($20/day, if I recall correctly). Is it worthwhile to go for the upgraded room, or should I just count on being upgraded because I'm a Platinum?
