If it is an MCT issue, perhaps it was for an America West flight??? However, I think it's quite a new thing so my money would be on it being to denote the sleeper service.

Imagine...

Irate Passenger - "BA said flights after 7pm are sleeper service. I got on the 7pm flight and no food. Who can I sue for the emotional distress and trauma of not getting more than a sandwich for 7 hrs....."
