What's wrong with cross posting?

I read this response to a recent post...

Guess I didn't know this was such a sin. I don't think I'm guilty, but what's the problem with this? Many questions that arise cut across several topics...NW and CO and KL for example all have their own boards but not all of us have the time to read everything and as partners the questions pertain to more than one carrier. What's the harm...are we overloading the system or do some folks simply find it annoying that someone asked the same question in several places in an attempt to get more answers?
