What's the point of the tags? I thought they were semi-useful in the old days when they had some tracking info on them and when you could write your address on them and actually use them as a luggage tag. But after a few years that was pretty much of a waste.

The real dumb one was the million mile large brass tag. Your name and One Million Miles was printed on the tag. It was heavy and with NW's NON-recognition of Million Milers, was truly worthless. I guess some people get off on showing off their platinum, gold, million mile tag. Big whoop! I'd prefer they put a second bag of almonds in my Elite kit.

Now, if the Platinum tags were really platinum...
