Needed to get to DCA today in a hurry but had enough time to check out the new FLLight Deck.

This is a lovely lounge, bright and roomy with what look like extremely comfortable couches and chairs. There is a view of the tarmac and food and drink for purchase. If it were inside security, I would willingly pay an annual fee for a membership as I have done for the Altitudes Club at SDF, where none of the airlines have dedicated lounges of their own.

However, the creation in this day and age of such an elegant room outside of security is just an error in judgement by the BCAD because altho there were hundreds of cruisers roaming about the terminal today on a Sunday morning at about 930-10AM, the sole individual in the FLLight Deck was the concessionary attendant. Out on the E finger, the departure lounges were just as crowded as I have ever seen them altho I will admit that I generally avoid being in the airport at these times. It was sort of sad to see such a nice place so completely deserted.
