NZ has its own lounge at LAX - recently enlarged and refurbished (very nice) and better than any RCC. On a business award ticket you will be allowed access to the lounge. 'I' on NZ has customarily booked into NZ's business class which is better than most US legacy F cabins. I am not sure what the booking code is for Premium Economy - the class between Y and C on NZ long-haul. Check your seat number and the seatmaps to be sure.
