NetFront update/replacement

I am currently using a Sony CLIE (PEG-TG50) which is running NetFront 3.0 version 1.1.36 using Palm OS 5.0. I am accessing the net through a Bluetooth connection my cell phone, which is connecting via GPRS (T-Mobile). I realize that among current electronics, the CLIE is becoming an antique, but in most respects it works very well for me, so I am not looking to make a change.

More and more recently, when browsing on the CLIE, I am running into web pages supposedly designed for mobile browsing which will not load in my version of NetFront (including mobile.webflyer.com and the wap page of the Colorado DOT). A typical error message is "Invalid Content. (Invalid MIME type)." Although memory is tight (with only 16mb internal, where all of the programs must be stored as far as I am aware), I have managed to keep some free, so I don't believe that is the problem.

My suspicion is that I need to upgrade NetFront or move to a different browser. Since Sony is no longer manufacturing PDAs, they apparently are also not providing new drivers and updates to keep existing devices current.

Access, which apparently owns NetFront, doesn't appear to have a direct download option from its website (www.access-company.com) for the current NetFront for Palm.

I'd appreciate any thoughts and suggestions on this matter, especially on whether the older verion of NetFront is the problem and, if so, whether and where to find a new version or move to a different browser.

Thanks.
