Glad to see somebody has some business sense. As you pointed out, the cost of doing something would be very nominal. It's the details that can go a long way. Not that this alone would make passengers go "wow BA is top-notch," but it'd be just one tiny detail that would work in their favor, and quite frankly they can use all the points they can get.

G-BOAC, it's called a cost-benefit analysis which a company might do before making decisions to spend money...Your extensive knowledge of everything I (or anybody else) do on this site is kind of creepy to say the least.
