Parking used to be inexpensive ($6/day) until the airport was forced to turn over parking to a private company by a well orchestrated compaign from wealthy Greenwich residents, trying to keep traffic to the airport down by any means possible (they prefer using their private helicopters to fly to NY). They are up in arms already about Jet Blue claiming the noise of their big jets would be unbearable etc.
