whatever savings are accrued by jetblue entering the market will surely be eaten up by the outrageously priced parking. i was there a couple of weeks ago and was charged $86 for three days and a couple of hours. i almost choked when the attendant said the price. this airport is in the middle of nowhere so there isn't competition (nor is there a reason to charge that much).
but, it is about 8 steps from the parking lot to the security line (exaggeration...but it is unbelievably close). so, while it might be a tad further from manhattan, the time savings will easily be made up if you include parking or returning a rental car. the rental car lot is also about six steps from the security line (similar exaggeration but scale accurate when compared to the eight steps for the parking garage).
