Plane delayed 4 hours - got 17,000 miles
My son and I recently flew from Detroit to Nagoya on NW. The plane was delayed for four hours due to a mechanical problem. I am KLM RoyalWing and my Son is a NW no status flyer.
My son recently got a letter in the mail from NorthWest apologising for the delay and he had 17,000 miles deposited into his account for the inconvenience he endured (he got a free voucher for McDonalds and a phone card as well - he was very happy).
I got nothing but I expected nothing and as I am not a NW member - it's cool. I did arrive alive and refreshed (C class).
I must say that NW is a good airline most of the time. We did not complain and they offered compensation. This is very nice.
