Would you try to claim the points?

Happy Australia Day to all!

Quandry:
On my trip BNE-LAX-ORD in November the outward AA flight was diverted to Indianapolis due to weather at ORD, then had a mechanical forcing an overnight in the terminal at IND. AA then booked me to ORD the following morning via US Airways.
QF logged points and SC's as per the original routing, although my web account actually showed the additional US airways sector until the booking PNR closed after I returned to Australia.
I have just found the US airways boarding pass in my briefcase.....

-Should I try to submit it to claim miles for the IND- ORD flight?
-If so, should I try to credit the miles to my AAdvantage, or to QF (I'd suspect the former might be more successful); also determines who to send it to.
- Or just chalk it all up to the experience!
Thanks!
