Air Canada Technical Services told CBC News Thursday it was surprised by the reports and it remains "totally committed to business in Winnipeg" and investing in existing facilities.

Premier Gary Doer said he had no knowledge of possible job losses. Rather, he said, the province has an annual meeting with Air Canada to discuss mutual concerns.
