I think they should have informed you that you were booking a codeshare when you made the reservation. I recently flew a few sectors on CO as a FB Plat and agree that the few benefits (check-in, luggage delivery, access to PCs) was not any different from FB Gold. However, after a few very positive experiences with AF and KL I have to say it makes a hell of a lot of difference with them whether you are FB Gold or Plat. Let's face it: elite benefits usually really only count for their own airline(s), I doubt that CO's elites get much better treatment from AF/KL..
