I used to Priceline a lot but playing the hotel promotions game is fun.
During November, December, and January I moved most of the my hotel stays to Hyatt's (60+ nights) because of the FFN and accrued 30+ FFN's that I will use at Park and Grand Hyatt's when traveling for leisure.
In addition until the end of December Hyatt offered 1500 UA miles per stay. I received 75000 miles.
Due to various 1W, W5, G1, G2, and G3 bonuses I average about 3000 GP points per stay on an average rate of $120 or so. That is another 10 to 15 nights at Park and Grand Hyatt's around the world.
When you deduct the value of accrued awards, points, ands miles from the daily rate it is very difficult to achieve same end results by Pricelining.
