Well, this is getting closer and I still don't have it ticketed yet. I finally got the trip OK'ed by my client today and sent the following to my TA. She's good at doing what I suggest, but not very creative. Does anyone else have a suggestion to add?

These are the dates. There’s one day of wiggle room on each of these. Just looking at the online guys, I’m finding ugly routings and they’re still $8K.
SEA-SYD 11/8/02
SYD-SIN 11/16/02
SIN-SEA 11/20/02
I think there are three options (plus whatever better ideas you have) in order of my preference:
- NW has a RTW fare in J for about $3500. Most of it will be on MH, routing would be SEA-AMS-KUL-SYD-KUL-SIN-KUL-NRT-SEA.
- Separate flights SEA-SIN and SIN-SYD. Either a NW flight through NRT booked in B or M, or CO has a cheap SEA-SIN fare booked in V for around $525 and tax (I think it’s actually a codeshare on NW, but NW doesn’t have the $600 option to make it upgradeable). It can be upgraded with a $600 bendforward upgrade plus 50K miles (which I have on NW). Then book a standard C or J flight SIN-SYD. MH may have lower fares there.
- As a last resort, you can get consolidator tickets through Patheo on PR dirt cheap. Have to depart SFO and they have long layovers in MNL. But it would be better than 100 hours in coach.
