Since I **always* travel w/ a notebook, it is a longstanding pet peeve of mine that hotels in this modern-era don't have in-room safes that can accomodate UP TO A 17" NOTEBOOK.

Good grief - such in-room safes can be purchased at HD or Lowes, and mounted between studs in the closet w/ minimal effort. But so many have no safe at all...and then many have a tiny one that would not hold a sub-notebook, much less modern-day 15" or 17" notebooks.

For a business-centric property this is ridiculous. For a resort property - ditto. Maybe the lowest-food chain property (4 points) can claim "we can't afford to add these", but any property above this low-end tier ought to IMO.

And, yes, I speak of urgent retrofit...not waiting for once-every decade makeover.
