I'm debating the idea of a small checked bag also. I'm a determined carry-on person, but I don't want to be aggravated by security. I never travel with more than I can handle by myself.

I'm thinking of dragging an old Zero Haliburton metal suitcase out of the back of garage for check in purposes. Less likely to be crushed. Unfortunately, I don't have one with wheels.
