I know that sometimes there is little a parent can do to stop a crying baby, but I have to say I was a bit irritated on a recent SJU-EWR flight.

I was up in first w/ the wife and across the aisle from us sits a mother with her screaming baby. I'm surprised that CO allows this. I mean, sure they need to travel to, but it is very very rude to take your screaming children and let them spend 4 hours shouting into the ears of passengers who paid a hefty premium for quiet.

Personally, I don't think that CO should allow children under 4 years of age in FC. Because too often these days the parents simply can't or won't control them.
Ok, I'll go down this road. Are you really paying for quiet? Because a screaming baby in the first row of Y isn't much different. I'd argue you're paying for space, free drinks, and better meals at mealtime!
