For a contrary opinion, I would buy it now, and make sure it comes with the Vista upgrade coupon.

Most corporations will not be deploying Vista at this point in time, and most people think you should wait until at least the first service pack is issued before deploying it yourself. If you buy after Vista comes pre-loaded, you will have no choice but to use Vista. If you buy now, you will be able to decide when you move to the new OS, at basically only the cost of shipping for the media since your computer will come with the free upgrade coupon.

So, it would be a far wiser decision to buy now, before Jan 30, IMHO.
