One doesn't need to go through security to deliver pizzas to passengers waiting in that area.

According to the original WSJ report, the passengers from 1348 deplaned at 9:04pm as the last of the airport restaurants were closing.

Just about every pizza delivery place in town is still open at 9:00 pm on a Friday night.

Once the passengers had deplaned, how hard would it have been for someone in charge at AA to pick up a phone and arrange for pizzas and drinks to be delivered to the ticketing area so the passengers would at least have some sort of nourishment while they waited in line to rebook?

Yes, why couldn't AA have done something for the passengers??? Any thing??? besides 1 stale bag of prezels in over 12 hours on the plane??? Most of the AA workers were very rude and disrespectful to the us..... and it sure felt good when a total stranger comes and brings food to starving, exhausted AA passengers that had been on a FLIGHT FROM HELL.
