Unless you want to use miles to get an award, I think that the BF sale is the best deal. It's actually a little more expensive than an H fare, but you are guaranteed BF with the sale ticket--and you don't have to burn miles.
That's a very good point. Also should something happen hold a BF ticket rather than an upgraded Y ticket... which, despite the upgrade, remains a Y ticket.
