The LH Senator Lounge dragon at Frankfurt refused access to an SQ Gold who didnt have his pass, even though it stated so on his boarding card. As he was in J, she sent him to the Business lounge instead.

United however did allow me to use their lounge in SFO when I'd printed out an account statement as I myself had forgotten my card.
