I carry a large zip top tote that can be checked on the way back, or if I know I'm really buying a lot, put a bag inside of a bag. I've also bought bags overseas. My husband bought a bunch of stuff in Hong Kong plus had some extra work stuff so went to buy a new roller bag. He saw a great Hello Kitty for his daughter so bought it. The clerks thought perhaps he'd want the blue one, but he said, no the pink. After a few minutes of watching the store girls giggles and smirks, he explained it was for his daughter. I respect he felt manly enough to carry a Hello Kitty bag through the airport
