I had hoped that I was safe since my flights are on the 1st/2nd and the 10th/11th. However, after reading all of the posts here, I'm concerned that there will be enough knock-on effects on the 1st that I either won't make my connection at LHR to LCA or my connection at LCA to CAI (to make matters worse, the LCA-CAI leg is not on the same PNR so it's not BA's problem).
What do people think are the odds that flights YYZ-LHR will be completely messed up the day after the strikes? There are possible alternate routes but they're all fairly expensive this close to the date. I'd really prefer not to rebook as the BA flights are on points and I'd have to pay quite a bit for an alternate airline.
I assume flights on the 1st will be packed to the gills with people who had to rebook but I don't see why they wouldn't fly at all. Won't the planes and crew who arrived before the strike still be there?
What do people think?
