I've never really understood when things actually clear. So, if I'm Gold and I have a flight at noon on the 23rd, when would that clear? Early morning the 20th (3.5 days out) or early morning the 21st (2.5 days out)?

I'm really curious. I'm flying Tuesday, back Wednesday. So, I assumed I would yesterday about the upgrade, but I didn't. This morning I got the "we're sorry email" but my UG cleared for Tuesday, just not Wednesday. But, if that represents a 3 day clearance, I should have heard about the outbound leg yesterdy and the return today. What makes it seem even odder is that I cleared on the 737 but not on the 321?

Any thoughts?
