My 12/31 AA MD-80 flight was delayed 30 minutes, thus I stayed in the Chili's and slammed an couple extra drinks, thankfully it's beside the departure gate.

Went to boarding line and asked the AAgent if I had time to hit the restroom (across from the gate), he replied in a mean voice "ABSOLUTELY NOT WE ARE READY FOR DEPARTURE". Thus I sat down in 8E and began the "leg squeeze".

I absolutely couldn't wait for the seatbelt sign to get off, and when I turned, the FA's had the cart around row 11 and no way to get past. Thus I just strolled up to the FC lav and used it. No one said anything, the FA looked right at me, and I think we're all thankful because by that time it was a stage 5 emergency alert and there would have definately been a "liquid discharge incident".
