One has a choice, sit there and stew about something over which you have no control, the guaranteed result is that you will get make yourself thoroughly pissed off, have a perma frown and be as miserable as possible and convice yourself that AC would prefer to delay a flight than have it leave on time but only enough so as to not involve insurance issues.
The alternative is to accept that flying has weather and mechanical delays, be grateful for access to the MLL. Having recently experienced an 18 hour delay, I started out as you are now, got over myself and made the best of cards I was dealt. It's all a mindset.
