I think the UX person made a mistake and offered him a seat in the next cabin. He had a seat in Economy right?
UX person may not have known what they were doing (my opinion, not fact) I would have asked, are you sure? Too many broken heart stories about the SFO IFL.
A two hour delay? I bet the SFO and LAX flight got into NRT within minutes of each other.
If I bought a cheap ticket and ended up in C I would be stoked.
The difference in a C and an F ticket to NRT is 5 or 6 thousand dollars, let's be real for a minute.
