This is often the case, but not always. Additionally, I wouldn't discount the convenience that BLI offers over SEA -- not only is it 100 miles less driving each direction, BLI's size gives it convenience advantages, in my opinion, that SEA does not.

Even if flying out of SEA is cheaper, I still wouldn't automatically discount BLI (unless the price difference is just too great).
