part of what it's all about when volunteering? if the agent offered an f seat & t/c's and it's accepted by the pax, then it's a done deal, right?
for any ua g/a's out there (paging
DullesJason), perhaps you could shed some light-was it a screw up by the g/a during the vdb process or does the "originating/bumping" g/a have the power to do just what they did in this case. in my uneducated opinion, there needs to be a lot of leeway for the g/a as the bottom line is the oversold bird has to fly and as close to on-time as possible, n'est pas?
